1) Job Vacancy: Administrator

Shalom IT Center is a full-time Information and Communication Technology (ICT) training center.

The institution is a project of the Koinonia Community, a humanitarian organization founded on firm Christian principles and committed to the service of marginalized members of the society.

Its objective is to provide highly professional training to talented youths who will in turn contribute their skills towards the human, social and economic growth of Kenya.

Shalom IT Center is seeking an Administrator to enhance its operations.

Desired Qualities:
• Higher Diploma OR Ordinary Diploma with one year’s experience in Business administration or Marketing.
• ICT literate with proficiency in Microsoft Office packages.
• Managerial or supervisory experience, including control of personnel and finance.
• Knowledge of QuickBooks™ accounting software.
• Strong organizational skills, together with the ability to prioritize and delegate effectively.
• High personal integrity and capacity for sound judgment under pressure; a logical thinker with the ability to think creatively and solve complex problems.
• Effective communication ability, good interpersonal skills and the capacity to encourage a team-based approach.
Duties and Responsibilities:
• Be responsible for the day-to-day administrative work of the institution.
• Receive, distribute, circulate and file all documents received in the office/institution.
• Ensure that all communications are properly referenced and recorded.
• Daily follow-up on prospective students.
• Organize for intake/admissions, examinations and issuance of certificates.
• Ensure cleanliness in all offices & classrooms.
• Market Shalom IT Centre and develop marketing strategies
• Prepare schedules for all the courses and services offered at the Centre.
• Compile monthly reports (narrative and financial), and annual reports for presentation at the end of the year.
• Maintain cashbooks and accounts records.
• Make payments, including preparing payment vouchers.
• Receive and bank monies, including preparing receipt vouchers.
• Prepare monthly requisitions.

Andrews Computer School is an Information and Communication Technology (ICT) training centre located in Riruta Satellite, Nairobi.

The institution is a project of the Koinonia Community, a humanitarian organization founded on firm Christian principles and committed to the service of marginalized members of the society.

Its objective is to provide highly professional ICT training to talented youths who will in turn contribute their skills towards the human, social and economic growth of Kenya.

Andrews Computer School is seeking a Principal to guide and supervise its operations.

Desired Qualities:
• Degree in Computer Science/Information Communication Technology with a minimum of one year’s experience, OR a Diploma in Computer Science/ICT with at least three years experience.
• Experience in a managerial or supervisory position including control of personnel and finance.
• Knowledge of QuickBooks™ accounting software.
• Experience teaching/ instructing the following courses:
• Computer Hardware & Maintenance.
• Programming/Software Engineering (C++ ,Visual Basic).
• Web design (HTML, JavaScript, DreamWeaver MX).
• All Microsoft Application Packages.
• Networking.
• Systems Analysis and Design.
• Note: MCSE & CCNA Certifications will be an added advantage.
• Strong organizational skills, coupled with the ability to prioritize and delegate effectively.
• Effective communication, good interpersonal skills and the capacity to nurture a team-based approach.
