Meru Water and Sewerage Services Registered Trustees Jobs

Meru Water and Sewerage Services Registered Trustees is a water service provider providing water service in Meru Municipality and its environs.

To strengthen our team of staff we invite applications from suitably qualified and experienced professionals with excellent credentials to fill the following positions.

1) Human Resource & Administration Manager

Reporting to the General Manager, the officer will be responsible for the effective management, coordination, and administration of all HR functions and improvement of HR strategies and policies to ensure peaceful industrial relations and enhanced productivity.

The officer will also ensure efficient and effective office and logistics management.

Qualifications and experience:
• A Bachelor’s degree and a Postgraduate Diploma in human resources management
• At least 3 years working experience in a service utility firm in a HR function.
• Membership to a relevant human resource professional body
• Good public relations, communication and interpersonal skills
• A working experience in Kenya labour laws, regulations, policies and procedures
• Ability to maintain professionalism and keep a breast in emerging trends in HRM.
• Excellent computer skills

2) Procurement Manager

Reporting to the General Manager, the Procurement Manager will be responsible for the planning and coordination of procurement activities including ordering, delivery, storage and timely distribution of goods and services to end users.

The officer will be responsible for the development/improvement of procurement strategies, policies and procedures to comply with the Public Procurement and disposal Act 2005(PPDA), Regulations (PPDR) 2006, PPOA guidelines, standard procurement manual, approved tender documents specifications and requirements.

The officer will provide procurement technical advice to the trust and secretarial services to the Tender Committee

Qualifications and Experience:

• Demonstrate knowledge of the Public Procurement and Disposal Act 2005 & Regulations 2006
• A Bachelor’s degree in Business related area and a Postgraduate Diploma holders in Purchasing and Supply chain management
• Be a procurement professional as defined in section 26(8) of The Public Procurement and Disposal Act 2005.
• Good analytical, public relations, communication, and interpersonal skills
• Three (3)years relevant experience
• Be computer literate

3) Accountant

Reporting to the Commercial Manager, the officer will be responsible for the provision of timely and reliable financial information for management and financial reporting purposes, effective cost control, timely and accurate billing of services, effective utilization of resources and control of stocks/stores.

The officer will ensure compliance with finance and accounting standards and regulations

Qualifications and Experience:
• A Bachelor’s degree in commerce or any other Business related field
• CPA II or ACCA II Qualifications
• Three years’ relevant experience
• Must have excellent computer analytical skills, knowledge of Sage or Pastel accounting packages will be an added advantage.

4) Billing Clerk

Reporting to the Accounts Assistant Revenue and working closely with the IT administrator, the officer will be responsible for the maintenance of accurate customer accounts, maintenance of accurate information on customer transactions and computer maintenance.

Qualifications and experience:
• Diploma in computer maintenance (hardware or software), CPA 1 will be an added advantage.
• Two years experience in computer software and hardware maintenance for firm with more than thirty computers.

5) Quality Control Officer

Reporting to the Technical Manager, the officer will be responsible for product and services quality management in line with best practices, as per various set guidelines and standards.

This is ensured through constant analysis and monitoring schedules. Periodical reporting is all mark of this post.

Qualifications and experience:
• A Bachelor’s degree in Chemistry or biology or biochemistry
• Three years experience in a related position.
• Be computer literate
